Don't just take our word for it. Here's what our community has to say about training at Current Jiu Jitsu.
"The coaches here genuinely care about your progress. I started with zero experience and within months I felt completely at home on the mats. The community is incredible."
"My kids absolutely love it here. The instructors are patient, professional, and the safety standards are top-notch. Both my son and daughter have grown so much in confidence."
"I'm over 40 and was worried I was too old. The coaches adapt everything to your level. A year later and I'm in the best shape of my life. Wish I'd started sooner!"
"Our whole family trains here — me, my wife, and both our kids. The family discount is great but the real value is the time we spend together learning and growing. Highly recommend."

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a ground-based martial art and combat sport. Its main focus is developing a set of skills allowing an opponent to the ground, controlling, using submission techniques and forcing a submission via joint lock or strangulation.
There is no previous experience needed. The movements and techniques will be taught to feel natural to all. We have programs for beginners, intermediate and advanced practitioners. If you are new to BJJ, we recommend attending our "Intro to BJJ" class.
You have probably heard the cliché, "you're never too old." Just in case you have, there have been members that are in their 60s that continue to train. Your capabilities based on your programming, age is taken into account. Someone over 40 starting is not going to be compared to an 18 year old. We are teaching the individual.
We have kids as young as 3 years old training in our program. They are well supervised under strict instruction with many years of experience teaching children.
In Gi classes, you will need to purchase a kimono (Gi). After your free week trial, for Gi classes we will need a kimono, and for No-Gi classes we will need shorts (nothing with pockets) and a rashguard in spandex. If you need Gi or No-Gi equipment, we will forward wholesale gear.
In Gi classes, you would wear a Gi (like the uniform in Karate/Judo). Gi BJJ is a fundamental piece of most techniques and movements. No-Gi, on the other hand, more closely resembles wrestling as it is done at a faster pace and places emphasis on speed rather than leverage.
